Consider the Twinkie

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” -Albert Einstein

If you approach the same trails you ride regularly as the same old trails that you ride regularly, they will always be the same old trails. While you will get some satisfaction from the ride, you will not experience the joy you would if you changed your perspective just a little.

Consider the trees, brush, snow, ice, and even the ruts on your ride.

Consider their beauty, or how they affect your ride.

Consider what you learn each time you encounter any of those things.

How do they change the trail? Your experience?

Are they constant or temporary features?

Would you miss them if they were gone?

Consider the people in your life in the same way.

Are they not more than ordinary?

Is each not fascinating in their own way, even if you don’t enjoy every aspect?

From the most complex to the most mundane, there is wonder and miracle.

From the Post-it note to the Twinkie.

From the slant of a tree and the shadows it casts to the giggle of children playing on the playground.

Each has a story.

Each a miracle.

Just like you.
